Great food with very nice plating. My wife loved her Tempura & Udon noodles, served cold. Tempura batter was perfect and not overwhelming like the way other restaurants make them. Their Takoyaki is the bomb! Just be careful eating them, they serve them hot! The Yakiudon is delicious. Ample parking space. The dining area is shared with Fisherman's Sushi Restaurant, food court style sitting.

Author: This is EASILY my favorite Japanese restaurant in the county. Their food is delicious and they offer so much more than the typical sushi joint.

Food:
Speaking of sushi, there isn't any. And that's a good thing too. Because what this place offers instead, is a varied menu of traditional Japanese dishes like Takoyaki, Onigiri, Okonomiyaki, and a range of different curry and noodle dishes. My personal favorite is the Nabeyaki Udon. The noodles are nice and thick, and there's a ton of ingredients in there. Absolutely DELICIOUS!

Price:
The prices aren't too bad. Especially considering that this is food that's hard to find outside of Little Tokyo in Los Angeles. Expect to pay about $10-15 per person.

Service:
Unfortunately, the wait times can be a bit long. I assume this is because they're making things from scratch? It's also quite popular and so there may be others waiting ahead of you. They usually warn you if a particular dish is going to take a while. The Okonomiyaki is one such example. It usually takes like 25 minutes. But aside from the wait, the staff are really friendly and eager to serve.

Location:
Probably my only gripe. It's in a little food court near the harbor, so it's fairly out of the way for most people. But with that said, it's totally worth the trip! Also, the food court doors are typically open, so you may have to deal a bit with the elements and an occasional bird.

All in all, if you're looking for good Japanese food, you can't go wrong with this place.

Chicken curry is bomb. Always fresh food friendly service. A bit slow but totally worth it. Takoyaki is one of my favorite along with soba soup with tempura. Iced green tea no sugar is refreshing and energizing
